தமிழ்த் தரப்பின் ஒருமித்த நிலைப்பாடு ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியத்தின் முயற்சிக்கு வலு சேர்க்கும் -ரெலோ சுரேந்திரன்

தமிழ்த் தரப்பின் ஒருமித்த நிலைப்பாடு ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியத்தின் முயற்சிக்கு வலு சேர்க்கும் என ரெலோ ஊடகப் பேச்சாளர் சுரேந்திரன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

எமது இருப்பை ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக துடைத்து அழித்து விடக் கூடிய பாரிய நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு முகம் கொடுத்து  நிற்கும் நமது இனத்தை காக்க வேண்டிய கடமை  எமது தோள்களில் இருக்கிறது.  அகத்திலும்  புலத்திலும் இருக்கும் நம் இனத்தை ஒன்றுபடுத்தி ஒரு தேசிய இனமாக கட்டியமைக்க  வேண்டிய காலத்தின் கட்டாயத்தில் இன்று இருக்கிறோம்.  எமது நீண்டகால குறுகிய கால இலக்குகளை ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று முரண்படுத்தி குழப்பிக் கொள்ளாமல், வரையறுத்து பயணிக்க  காலம் பணித்துள்ளது.  இதனடிப்படையில் தமிழ்த் தேசிய பரப்பில் செயல்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கும் அனைத்து தமிழ் தலைமைகளும் ஒருமித்த நிலைப்பாட்டில் செயல்படுவது எமது இலக்குகளை கட்டம் கட்டமாகவும் நேர்த்தியாகவும் சென்றடைய வழிவகுக்கும்.  இதற்கு உதாரணமாக திகழும், பல நாடுகளை உள்ளடக்கிய ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியமானது, தமிழர் நலன் சார்பான ஒருமித்த செயல்பாட்டை முன்னெடுக்கும் தருணத்தில் தமிழர் தரப்பாகிய நாம் ஒருமித்து செயலாற்றுவது காலத்தின் கட்டாயம்.

 எதிர்வரும் 27 ஆம் திகதி ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றிய பிரதிநிதிகள் ஜிஎஸ்பி பிளஸ் வரிச்சலுகை சம்பந்தமான களநிலை ஆராய்வு மற்றும் கலந்துரையாடலுக்கு  இலங்கை வர இருப்பது உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.  அரசாங்கத்தோடு முன்னெடுக்கும் பேச்சுவார்த்தைகளுக்கு அப்பால் தமிழர் தரப்போடும் கலந்துரையாடுவதற்கு ஆயத்தமாகி இருப்பதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

 கடந்த மார்ச் மாதம் ஐநா மனித உரிமை பேரவையில் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்ட 46/1 பொறுப்புக்கூறல் மற்றும் நல்லிணக்கத்துக்கான பிரேரணையை இலங்கை அரசு நிராகரித்திருந்தது.  இதை ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றிய பாராளுமன்றம் அவதானத்தில் எடுத்திருந்தது.  அதன் பிரதிபலிப்பாக கொடூரமான பயங்கரவாத தடைச்சட்டத்தை இலங்கை நீக்கும் வரைக்கும் ஜிஎஸ்பி பிளஸ் வரிச்சலுகையை இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்திற்கு வழங்குவதை தடைசெய்வதை  பரிசீலனை செய்ய தீர்மானித்துள்ளது.  இந்த முடிவு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டால் இலங்கை பாரிய பொருளாதார நெருக்கடிக்குள் சிக்கிக்கொள்ளும் அபாயம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.  கடந்த காலங்களிலும் தற்போதுள்ள அரசாங்கத்தின் ஆட்சியில் இதன் தாக்கத்தை நாடு அனுபவித்து இருந்தது. இதிலிருந்து மீளும் முகமாக  இலங்கை அரசு ஐநாவின் பரிந்துரைகளை கருத்தில் கொள்வதாக குரல் கொடுக்கிறது. 

 சர்வதேச அழுத்தங்கள், ஐநா பிரேரணை என்பனவற்றிற்கு மேலாக ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியத்தின் இந்த நிலைப்பாடு இலங்கையை இறுக்கமான பிடிக்குள் கொண்டுவந்துள்ளது என்பதில் மாற்றுக் கருத்து இல்லை.

 பயங்கரவாத தடைச் சட்டத்தின் நீக்குவது என்பது பல்லாண்டு காலம் சிறையில் வாடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் எமது அரசியல் கைதிகளை விடுவிப்பதற்கு வழிவகுக்கும்.  ஐரோப்பிய பாராளுமன்றத்தின் இந்த நிலைப்பாட்டுக்கு வலுச்சேர்க்கும் முகமாக தமிழர் தரப்பினர் தமது ஆதரவினை ஒருமித்த நிலைப்பாட்டில் விரைந்து செயலாற்றுவது எம்மினத்தின் அவசியமாக உள்ளதை அனைவரும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள்.  

 ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியத்தின் இந்த வருகையிலாவது தமிழர் தரப்பு தமக்குள் இருக்கும் பல கருத்து வேறுபாடுகளை மறந்து ஒருமித்த நிலைப்பாட்டில் எங்கள் ஆதரவை அவர்கள் முன்னெடுப்புக்கு  தெரிவிப்பது காலத்தின் அவசியம்.  

மேலும் நம் தாயகப் பரப்பில் எமது இனம் முகம் கொடுத்து நிற்கும் இலங்கை அரசின் திட்டமிட்ட இனவழிப்பு நடவடிக்கையாக  காணி அபகரிப்பு, குடியேற்றம் மற்றும் இராணுவ மயமாக்கல் ஆகிய விடயங்களையும் ஒருமித்து ஐரோப்பிய பிரநிதிகளின் கவனத்திற்கு கொண்டுவர இச்சந்தர்ப்பத்தை பயன்படுத்த எமது முயற்சிக்கு ஒன்றிணையுமாறு அனைத்து தமிழ் தரப்பினருக்கும் அழைப்பு விடுக்கிறோம்.

Unanimous position of the Tamil side will strengthen the EU effort -

 We have a duty on our shoulders to protect our race, which is facing massive actions that could wipe out our existence altogether.  Today we are compelled by the time to unite our peole live in our home land and abroad and build them into a strong community.  Time has come to define and work towards our long-term and short-term goals without confusing them with one another.   Unanimity of all Tamil leaders working on the Tamil Nationalistic cause will pave the way for our goals to be achieved step by step and smooth manner.  It is imperative that we, the Tamil side, act together at a time when the European Union comprising multi nations, is pursuing a consensual action in the interest of Tamils.

 EU representatives scheduled to visit Sri Lanka on the 27th for an evaluation and discussion on the GSP + tariff concession.  It is clear that it is ready to discuss with the Tamil side in additio to the discussion with the GOSL.

 The Sri Lankan government rejected a resolution 46/1 on Accountability and Reconciliation adopted at the UN Human Rights Council last March.  This has brought  attention of the EU Parliament.  In response, it is contemplating  to withdraw the GSP + tax concession extended to Sri Lanka if not the draconian anti-terrorism law is appropriately dealt with or withdrawn by the latter.   If this decision is goes through the EU parliament, there is a high risk that Sri Lanka will be plunged into a massive economic crisis.  In the past, the country has experienced similar impact impact during the tenure of the current government.  

In response, the Sri Lankan government is making statements to work with UNHRC recommendations, taking a u-turn from the its stand of rejecting the resolution 46/1 in March.

 More than international pressure and UNHRC resolution,  the EU's stand on GSP plus has placed Sri Lanka on a tight grip.

 The repeal of the Prevention of Terrorism Act will lead to the release of our political prisoners who have been imprisoned for many years.  Needless to mention the unanimous support of the Tamil parties in a concerted effort  will definitely  strengthen approach of the European Parliament.

 With this visit of the EU, it is time for the Tamil side  our to express our solidarity and support at this important time of EU visiting Sri Lanka by keeping a side whatever the differences we have among us. 

 We also call on all Tamil parties to unite in our effort to use this opportunity to bring to the attention of the European Representatives the issues of land grabbing, resettlement and militarization as part of the Sri Lankan government's planned and systematic action against our peopole in our homeland to adversely damage our demographic and ethnic composition.
